Throughout your engagement with The Portable Potting Shed, we hope to serve you with the highest level of customer service standards. In doing so we ask you to read the following terms and conditions to ensure you are completely aware and satisfied with our policies and procedures and service standards.
By engaging with our website you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to abide by all terms and conditions and policies without limitation. The Portable Potting Shed reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will become effective immediately.
The scope of Agreement with The Portable Potting Shed
The Portable Potting Shed offers and sells through this website www.theportablepottingshed.com.au (hereinafter the ‘Website’) access to and bookings for The Portable Potting Shed Experiences.
Sales and services offered on this website are governed by the Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter the ‘Terms and Conditions’). The services offered on this website are sold by The Portable Potting Shed.
Session Hours
Session hours vary and are dependent on the venue and experience booked. Please reach out via our contact page for more information where needed.
Payment methods
Payment can be made online via credit card using our secure payment gateway or PayPal. A booking fee is required at the time of booking to secure your session and includes up to 4 attendees. Extra individual attendee fees and postcode surcharges can be added to the website cart by clicking Add-on’s, or paid at the venue by cash, card or direct deposit or by invoice after the event for business or NDIS bookings.
Currency and Pricing
All transactions and pricing will be performed in Australian Dollars (AUD). The Portable Potting Shed reserves the right to change pricing at any time.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations of any kind are subject to our NO REFUND POLICY. However, you may be able to reschedule your booking if your request is within a certain time frame from your scheduled event. Cancellations made by The Portable Potting Shed due to unforeseen circumstances will result in a full refund of any bookings made including pre-paid attendees. No compensation will be granted for any other incurred expenses as a result of bookings cancelled by The Portable Potting Shed.
Booking fees
Booking fees are available on the booking page, are subject to change and are non-refundable. You may reschedule to an agreed date with The Portable Potting Shed providing your cancellation is over 72hrs from the start time of the booked date.
If your request is less than 72hrs of your booked experience start time no refund will be given, and we will not reschedule you.
If you are cancelling or rescheduling for a second time i.e. your booking is rescheduled from a previous cancellation: the original booking fee is forfeited, and you will need to pay another booking fee.

The purchaser agrees that the provision of any service, including but not limited to the experiences and materials provided, purchased from our website or directly is at the purchaser’s sole risk, and such risk is accepted on behalf of any attendees or accompanying persons attending that booking.
To the full extent permissible by applicable law, The Portable Potting Shed will not be liable for any damages or harm of any kind arising from the use of this site, or from any services, plants and materials provided from this website or business. The Portable Potting Shed seeks to supply quality items and plants, sourced or grown locally whenever possible, but the longevity of plants is the responsibility of the participant after the session.
No oral advice or written information given by The Portable Potting Shed nor its affiliates, including any volunteers, nor any of their directors, employees, agents, providers, or the like, shall create a warranty or legal obligation; nor shall the purchaser rely on any such information or advice.
Photo and Videography
The Portable Potting Shed in the course of its experiences/events will take images and recordings. By booking with The Portable Potting Shed, you expressly and impliedly authorize and permit The Portable Potting Shed to take images and recordings of you (including any attendees booked under your name), for the promotion and advertising of The Portable Potting Shed.
Service with Respect Policy
The Portable Potting Shed will not tolerate aggressive, disrespectful, or violent behaviour towards our team members under any circumstances.
Anyone identified as berating, intimidating, verbally abusing, or disrespecting our team members, either in person, or over the telephone, will be advised that this behaviour will not be tolerated.
Any future violation of this policy will result in our refusing to conduct business with the offender and any outstanding business finalised via written email communication only.
Instances of violence will immediately be referred to the police in order to protect our team.
Any instances of written abuse will be handled with the same level of severity. All abusive correspondence received by our office will be retained for reference should the matter persist and need to be referred to the police.

Purpose of Collection
a) We collect Personal Information to provide you with the best service experience possible on our Website, and to keep in touch with you about developments in our business.
b) We customarily only disclose Personal Information to our service providers who assist Us in operation of the Website. Your Personal Information may also be exposed from time to time to maintenance and support personnel acting in the normal course of their duties.
c) By using our Website you consent to the receipt of direct marketing material. Our direct marketing material will include a simple means by which you can request not to receive further communications of this nature, such as an unsubscribe button link.
d) You can manage your account preferences by contacting pottingshed2u@gmail.com. We will process opt-out requests within 5 business days and maintain records of your preferences. Marketing communications will not exceed 2 messages per month, and each communication will clearly display preference management options. If you choose to opt-out we will retain minimal Personal Information necessary to ensure compliance with your request.
Security, Access and Correction
a) We store your Personal Information in a way that protects it from unauthorised access, misuse, modification or disclosure. When We no longer require your Personal Information for the purpose which we obtained it, We will take reasonable steps to destroy, anonymise or deidentify it, apart from information that is required by record-keeping regulations to be kept for a maximum of 7years.
b) The Australian Privacy Principles:
i) Permit you to obtain access to the Personal Information We hold about you in certain circumstances (Australian Privacy Principle 12) and:

Complaint Procedure
If you have a complaint regarding the manner in which We maintain the privacy of your Personal Information, please contact Us in writing at pottingshed2u@gmail.com. All complaints received by The Portable Potting Shed will be considered, and We make seek further information from you to clarify your concerns. If We agree that your complaint is well-founded, We will, in consultation with you, take appropriate steps to rectify the problem. If you remain dissatisfied with the outcome you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Security of information
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
Personal information is accessible to the customers and is able for use by relevant employees or volunteers in providing service to customers.
Security for personal information includes password protection for IT systems, locked filing cabinets and physical access restrictions with only authorised personnel permitted access.
Personal information no longer required is securely destroyed or de-identified.

We will take reasonable steps to reduce the likelihood of a data breach occurring including storing personal information securely and accessible only by the relevant staff.
If we know or suspect your personal information has been accessed by unauthorised parties, and we think this could cause you harm, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the chance of harm and advise you of the breach, and if necessary the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
